Terms of Service

Last updated: October 17, 2026

These are the terms for using overkillsimulations.com and HangarControl. By creating an account, starting a trial, buying a license or using the software, you agree to them. The short version: you get a lifetime license to use HangarControl on your own computers, updates are free, there are no refunds, and please don’t share or crack it.

Who you’re dealing with

HangarControl and this website are made and run by OverKill Simulations. Questions about these terms go to admin@overkillsimulations.com.

Your license

When you buy HangarControl you get a personal, lifetime license to install and use it. That means:

  • One license, one person. It’s for you and your own computers. It can’t be shared, sold, lent, rented or transferred to anyone else.
  • Two active devices. Your license can be activated on up to two computers at the same time. You can deactivate a device from your account page and activate a different one, for example when you build a new sim rig.
  • Yours for good. There is no subscription and no renewal. You will never be asked to buy HangarControl again.
  • Updates included. Every update to HangarControl is free for license holders. New products or add ons that are sold separately may be announced from time to time, but the software you bought stays yours and keeps getting updates.

OverKill Simulations keeps ownership of the software itself. You’re buying the right to use it, not the code.

The free trial

You can try the full version of HangarControl free for 5 days, no credit card needed. The trial starts when you first activate it on a computer and is limited to one trial per computer. When it ends, the software stops working until a license is activated. Nothing is charged automatically and there’s nothing to cancel.

The trial is there so you can make sure HangarControl works with your simulator and your hardware before you pay. Please use it.

Buying and refunds

HangarControl costs $39.99 USD, one time. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your license and download are delivered to your account immediately after payment.

All sales are final. HangarControl is a digital product that is delivered instantly and can’t be returned, so we don’t offer refunds, including for changing your mind or for hardware or simulators that aren’t supported. The free trial exists so you can check everything works before you buy.

If you live in the EU, UK or another place where the law gives you a right to cancel a digital purchase, that right ends once the download or license is delivered to you. By completing your purchase you agree that delivery starts right away and that you’re giving up that cancellation right. Any rights that the law says can’t be waived aren’t affected by this.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, such as a payment that was taken twice or a license that never arrived, email us and we’ll fix it.

Your account

You need an account to download HangarControl and manage your license. Keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has gotten into your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your login.

What you can’t do

  • Share your license key, your account, or the installer with other people.
  • Try to get around the trial, the activation system or the device limit.
  • Decompile, reverse engineer or modify the software, or build something that pretends to be it.
  • Resell HangarControl or bundle it with anything you sell.
  • Use the website or the software to do anything illegal or to attack our servers.

If someone does these things we can cancel their license and account without a refund.

Simulators and third party hardware

HangarControl works alongside simulators and hardware made by other companies: Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS World, X-Plane, Stream Deck, WinWing, and the rest. Those are their owners’ products and trademarks. OverKill Simulations isn’t affiliated with any of them, and a simulator or hardware update can change how something works. We do our best to keep up, but we can’t promise that every device, aircraft or sim version will always be supported.

No warranty

HangarControl is provided as is. It’s built with care and tested on real hardware, but it’s a hobby sim tool made by a small developer, not a certified aviation product. We don’t promise it will be bug free or work with every setup. Use it for simulation only, never for anything where a software fault could hurt someone.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, OverKill Simulations isn’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss from using the website or the software, such as lost time, lost data, lost profiles or damage to hardware. Our total liability to you for anything related to HangarControl is limited to what you paid for it.

Privacy

How we handle your information is covered in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use HangarControl after that means you accept the updated terms. We won’t change the deal on a license you already bought: it stays lifetime, with free updates.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA. If you’re a consumer somewhere with laws that protect you regardless of this clause, those still apply.
